It helps us to stand out and give a shine to our personality, however few of us lack in it and struggle a lot. Here are some tips and tricks which will help you out to build and boost your confidence day by day.
● personal hygiene- when it comes to confidence personal hygiene is always the first thing to come on to anyone’s mind. Maintaing a few personal hygiene can help you boost your confidence. Taking shower once a day, shaving everyday, keeping your nails trimmed and clean, keeping your hair trimmed and tidy, wearing ironed clothes, using a decent perfume and mouth freshener, using washed socks everyday are the few basic things you can easily maintain.
2. Healthy routine- To have a managed and effectively life, a healthy routine plays a major role. To keep oneself organised, peaceful, calm,productive, active and effective healthy routine is something must not be compromised with. It may consist of following-
a-A proper sleep- Having a proper sleeping routine can literally sort many things out. When you sleep on time , you wake up on time and when you go to bed early you can wake up early in case if you need to without being compromised with your sleep.
Here are a few tips how to have a proper sleep-
Go to bed early- for this in any case you need to take your dinner on time, keep all your electronics switched off and hard to accessible. These things will help you to maintain a proper sleeping pattern and routing.
b- Healthy diet- to keep oneself active and healthy a proper & healthy diet plays a great role. Avoid eating junk foods, especially in the night. Avoid a lot of coffee or tea or soft drinks, instead you can go for fruit juices which are a lot healthier than other drinks. Also Avoid smoking and consuming alcohol 🍸. When you start having a healthy diet you become addicted to it, just follow it strictly for a few days and you ll love it.
c- Exercise or yoga or meditation-
Giving yourself sometime for your fitness is a great investment in your health and successful life. Doing some physical activity everyday not only keeps your body fresh and fit but also keeps your mind peaceful, clear and organised. In this busy life taking out 20 minutes a day for yourself is worthy.
Being Punctual is not everybody’s cup of tea and once you have command over it you get half of your success already. All the above points will also help you to be Punctual. 1- Being in time-
when you start a new job you are new to everything the work place, the people, the work culture and many more, hence if you try to reach at work in time, atleast 5 mins prior to your scheduled time, you can easily settle and you will be having time to understand the aura and also you will feel confident if you don’t rush yourself for anything. You will feel you didn’t miss anything and it will make you more efficient at the work.
There are times when you need some touch ups too, like if you go to the work by bike you may need to fix your hair or you may need a spray of your favourite deodorant. Girls usually need a touch up before starting up. So if you reach at work 5 minutes prior somehow you will be able to create a lot of comfort for yourself.
2- Meet and greet-
Once you finish your punch in formalities you can greet your co workers, it is not literally a process that it must be done only after pinch in, it must be simultaneous, whomever you see by the time you enter the work premises you can start greeting. Also remember keep your greetings lite and healthy, with a smile a simple HI or HELLO is more than enough. Also remember you don’t need to find everyone and go to them and say hi, whoever you see near your desk or in your way you can greet.
3- Preparing for the day-
Once you are done with your punch in formalities, just go through the emails, notice board or any kind of communication source which is used at your work place to pass the information amongst the employees. It will help you to keep yourself updated and in case if anything asked you will not be blank. It will make you feel confident, you wil seem to be smarter to your colleagues and seniors. Also it will make you efficient to complete your tasks.
4- Be active listener-
Active listening can never harm anyone instead it will always benefit the oneself. Whenever it’s a meeting or a briefing listen actively and attentively , it will make you confident, full of knowledge , efficient and smart. Also in case if anything asked you will have a great impression just because of such a small effort. So don’t miss being an active listener, happy listening.
5- Take initiatives- Completing your tasks on time is great but taking initiatives time to time can add a lot value and success in your career in a long run. Taking initiatives simply doesn’t mean that you need to go beyond your limits and take responsibility of something which you can’t do effectively and on time. Take only those task which you are comfortable at and you have enough time, if you start something which affects your main task can seriously impact your image. Be careful while taking initiatives.
Also remember there is a difference between taking initiatives and being used by others. You may find some lazy people at work place who will always try to use others take credits. Be careful of such people.
6-Being alert at all the times- Performing your tasks on time, completing your presentations on time are important. However keeping your and your organisation’s information safe is also important. Be always alert to keep the data safe and always report if you find anything suspicious.
Also even after completing your tasks don’t be so careless and hang around, stick to your desk. If you hang along people may start talking about you without being knowing that you have already completed your tasks. In a long run it mat ruin your image badly.
7- Keep it simple- When you are new you may want to have friends or you may want to have someone just for hanging around, for that you try to create some impressions which is not necessarily it will lead to a decent street. Hence give everything and everyone enough time to know you, let others approach you instead you approach them and it never means that you will never start a conversation, you can always start but don’t be clingy and too much talkative and expressive. It will definitely help you.
8- Ask questions-
When you are new you may have a lot of questions on your mind which is a good thing. Better you ask questions in your probation period because that’s your learning period, use this opportunity and learn as much as you can.
9- Be honest- ‘Honesty is the best policy ‘ this phrase is never old and fits in every situation. When you are new there are chances you may commit some mistakes or may create some blunders which totally common but hiding them may put you in huge trouble. Instead of facing trouble just be honest accept your mistake, the moment you accept your mistake everybody will try to help you out and will also appreciate your honesty and loyalty.
10- Avoid false sick reports –
when you are new you might not have any leaves except days off and you may want to take rest, in this case you may feel taking of false sick report, avoid it. Because if you report sick which is false your seniors will easily guess it and you will never be able to gain their trust again.
11- Offering help- Once you are done with your tasks and if you still find someone stuck in any task, offer them your help. It will create a great team bond and you will also have a utility hand for future.
12- Be creative-
Everyone completes their task somehow, everyone comes office and goes, but what do you do differently makes you stand out. Being a little bit creative at work place not only make your work interesting but you also become interesting for others and this way you create a different image of yourself and you enjoy your work too.
